Representing the Volunteer Fire Companies of Baltimore County
It isn't easy volunteering
Our Volunteers train countless hours each month to ensure they are capable of providing the same level of skills as our career brothers and sisters. Most leave work to go volunteer then spend time with family after. Some work from their stations and respond on calls in-between meetings and almost all will get out of bed at night to respond to major incidents from home. In some cases we have career fire and EMS personnel who volunteer during their time off.
This is still hard work that demands time to train for the unexpected, time to perform when lives are on the line, and understanding families who will step up when our volunteers are out helping people they've never met. Our family doesn't stop at the people on our emergency apparatus it starts there.
Being a Volunteer Firefighter or EMS provider isn't for the weak at heart. There may be incidents that may last for hours or even days and some incidents that become national tragedies. But our Volunteer keep coming back day after day to ensure the communities they live in have people they can rely on.
Some of these people may never step foot on our emergency vehicles except to take a picture or a tour. But they still couldn't do it without your help and support. Donations of all kinds are welcome below are multiple ways you can help support the Volunteers in Baltimore County either directly or indirectly.
